Better heating starts
with the right questions.

01

Leave oil and LPG deliveries behind

Heat your home with electricity and stop arranging fuel deliveries. Your installer can remove the old tank.

02

Put grant support to work

Eligible homes could receive £9,000 towards installation. Your installer confirms whether you qualify.

GOVERNMENT SUPPORT, EXPLAINED

£9,000
towards your heat pump.

A contribution to switching. A decision that stays yours.

For eligible oil or LPG homes without a mains gas connection. Installation costs may remain. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme has property and installation conditions. This is not a grant for another oil or LPG boiler.

The £9,000 amount includes an additional £1,500 for qualifying oil and LPG homes until March 2027.

PLAIN ANSWERS, BEFORE YOU DECIDE

Your questions,
answered.

Could I get the grant?

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme supports eligible heating replacements. Oil or LPG homes without a mains gas connection may receive £9,000 towards an air-to-water heat pump until March 2027. The usual grant for eligible electric-heating replacements is £7,500. Your installer confirms eligibility and applies on your behalf.

Will my heating bills go down?

They could, but savings are not guaranteed. Your current system, electricity tariff, home and heat-pump design all matter. Ask for estimated running costs based on your actual heating use before deciding.

Will it keep my home warm in winter?

A properly designed system can provide heating and hot water through winter. An installer needs to assess how much heat your home loses and size the system and radiators accordingly.

Will I need new radiators or a hot-water cylinder?

Some homes need larger radiators, pipework changes or space for a cylinder. If you use standalone electric heaters, a new water-based heating system may be needed. These costs should be included in your quote.

What will installation cost and how disruptive is it?

The grant is a contribution, not a promise of a free installation. The installer should explain the total price, your remaining payment, the work involved and any time without heating before you agree.

Who am I dealing with, and what happens to my details?

HeatMatch is an enquiry and introduction service. We do not install heat pumps or award grants. We ask your permission before sharing your enquiry with a named installer; there is no obligation to accept a quote.

What about warranties and servicing?

Ask the installer for the manufacturer’s warranty, workmanship cover, servicing requirements and who to contact if something goes wrong. These vary by installer and product; HeatMatch does not provide installation warranties.
